I’ve never practiced yoga, what should I expect?
Our yoga classes are beginner friendly and designed based on your personal needs. You don't need to be flexible to start yoga. Yoga is merely about the poses. It's about what you learn throughout the process. With our 1:1 attention, we'll help you grow, build flexibility, mental and physical strength over time.
Yoga helps release physical and emotional tension in the body. We provide modifications for different postures so you can choose what feels good for you. We also offer hands on assistance to help you move into poses properly. We'll help you overcome the fear of falling and empower you to develop the resilience to keep trying.
Our classes are judgement free and all about your journey.
What style of yoga do you teach?
Our teaching style is a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Hatha yoga focuses on individual postures and alignment. Postures are held for longer breaths. It is usually practiced at a slower pace and is more accessible for beginners. Hatha yoga benefits include strength, balance and flexibility. Vinyasa yoga is a creative flow of movements. You will learn to transition smoothly from one posture to the next. Poses are linked to an inhale or exhale. Vinyasa yoga is practiced at a faster pace and generates heat. It helps build physical fitness, flexibility, upper body and core strength.
What if I am pregnant, have injuries or health conditions?
We recommend you speak to a licensed physician about your medical condition, injury or pregnancy before you practice yoga with us including whether you are able to practice yoga or any movements you should avoid.
What do I need to bring to class?
Wear comfortable clothing, bring your yoga mat and water. Yoga blocks (optional) can also support you during your practice.
We encourage you to attend class with an open heart and growth mindset to fully enjoy the benefits of our class.
Where will I practice?
For our 1:1 yoga classes, we can meet you at a public place or come to you depending on where you are located in Sydney. For corporate classes, we can come to your workplace or a venue you hire.
How long are your classes?
Our classes range from 30 minutes, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Please note, classes are subject to our availabilities.
Should I eat before yoga practice?
We recommend practicing yoga on an empty stomach. If you're too hungry, have a light snack (e.g. fruit) a few hours before your practice so your body is able to digest the food properly.
How often should I practice?
We offer individual private classes or class packages. We recommend that you develop a consistent yoga practice through our classes and self practice at home.
How do I start?
Contact us using the form above. We'll have a casual meeting with you to understand your health, goals and how we can help you. We'll then organise a time for you to start your practice.
